Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media (LNEP, ISSN 2753-7048) is a fully Open Access journal. Articles are freely available to both subscribers and the wider public with permitted reuse.
All articles published in LNEP are made immediately available worldwide under an open access license. This means:
No special permission is required to reuse all or part of article published by LNEP, including figures and tables. For articles published under an open access Creative Common CC BY license, any part of the article may be reused without permission provided that the original article is clearly cited. Reuse of an article does not imply endorsement by the authors or LNEP.
In accordance with major definitions of open access in scientific literature, LNEP defines open access by the following conditions:
LNEP is now using the latest version of the CC BY license, which grants authors the most extensive rights.
This means that all articles published in Eliwise Academy journals, including data, graphics, and supplements, can be linked from external sources, scanned by search engines, re-used by text mining applications or websites, blogs, etc. free of charge under the sole condition of proper accreditation of the source and original publisher. Eliwise Academy believes that open access publishing fosters the exchange of research results amongst scientists from different disciplines, thus facilitating interdisciplinary research. Open access publishing also provides access to research results to researchers worldwide, including those from developing countries, and to an interested general public. Although Eliwise Academy publishes all of its journals under the open access model, we believe that open access is an enriching part of the scholarly communication process that can and should co-exist with other forms of communication and publication, such as society-based publishing and conferencing activities.

The core idea of open access is the basis of its key advantage: articles are freely available for anyone who wishes to read them. For readers and libraries, the benefits of not having to pay for an individual article or journal subscription are obvious. And for those that believe that publicly funded research should be freely available to all, mandates to make the outcomes of these funding programs free to the public are now becoming the norm.
For authors, publishing open access rather than behind a paywall can help open up their research to a wider audience. In an era where the number of articles being published is skyrocketing, open access can help an article to be more discoverable online. And ultimately, an increased number of readers can convert into an increased number of citations for the author.
The lack of access to subscription-based journals is a commonly cited problem for researchers in developing countries. Open access can help provide scientists in such countries with the opportunity to participate in the international research community, with some open access journals even offering discounted or waived publication fees for papers from low-income countries.
In the open-access model, research material need not be restricted to articles only, unlike traditional publishing. Any kind of digital content, including text, images, raw and processed data, audio/video and software can be part of a digital archive.
More readers can become aware of authors who publish in open access journals as opposed to subscription-only journals. Institutions can enhance their profile by participating in or hosting open-access publishing. Funding agencies supporting the research can achieve more prominence.
Faster Publication in LNEP(open access journal) is achieved by online-only availability. Accepted articles are typically published online more rapidly in LNEP journal than those of traditional, subscription-based and printed journals are.
Articles tend to have a much bigger impact in the short-term compared to “subscription-only” work. The long-term impact has been found to be similar, with some studies showing a slightly larger impact for open-access articles. The high availability and visibility of our open access journal LNEP will trigger the higher citation impact. Open access publications are demonstrably more frequently cited.
